IR Element
The bottom infrared heater is a sheathed-style heater rated at 3,000 watts at 208V AC. The bottom
heater is controlled by the solid state switch located on the top side of the unit.
Testing IR Element
1) Remove the side covers and top oven panels.
2) Look for any physical damage to the heater elements or wires. If any damage is seen,
remember to unplug the unit before continuing.
3) Locate the bottom heater solid state switch on top of unit to get amp draw.
4) Place amp clamp around bottom heater wire (cable number 1) and turn unit on.
The amp draw should be between 14-15 amps on the cable “1”.
If there is no amp draw, verify the heater solid state switch is not damage. If the solid state
switch is not damage, replace the IR element.
