Rev. B
2.11 Apply Power
WARNING
28000 systems are provided with a grounding-type power plug. The
power supply must be connected to an electrical ground to minimize
shock hazard. The ground pin must be connected to an electrical ground
(safety ground) terminal at the power outlet. Any interruption of the
protective (grounding) conductor or disconnection of the protective earth
terminal will cause a potential shock hazard that could result in personal
injury.
Each mainframe is supplied with a detachable power cord. The supplied power connector is
specied per CEC Publication 22 VI and meets UL/IEC requirements.
CAUTION
The 28016 mainframe power supplies are shipped with an 14-gauge
power cord. User-supplied power cords must be 14 gauge to avoid
overheating and loss of power.
2.11.1 Line Voltage and Fuses
WARNING
For continued protection against re, replace the line fuse(s) with only
the fuse(s) specied for that power supply model number and the line
voltage selection being serviced.
When shipped from the factory, all 28000 systems are congured with the proper power
supply line voltage requirements and fuse(s) for your country, unless other requirements have
been specied.
Section 3.2.1 describes the procedures for replacing fuses.
