3.2.8 Replacing the 28016B-ACPS Power Supply
The 28016 mainframe features eld-replaceable power supplies. Use the following procedure
to replace the 28016B-ACPS power supply.
WARNING
Before removing the power supply, turn off the power to the 28016 system
by switching the front panel power switch to the Off position and then
unplugging the power cord from the power entry module on the rear
panel.
WARNING
28016 systems are provided with a grounding-type power plug. The
power supply must be connected to an electrical ground to minimize
shock hazard. The ground pin must be connected to an electrical ground
(safety ground) terminal at the power outlet. Any interruption of the
protective (grounding) conductor or disconnection of the protective earth
terminal will cause a potential shock hazard that could result in personal
injury.
WARNING
Do not apply power to a 28016B-ACPS power supply that is not properly
installed in a 28016 mainframe. Power supplies are designed to operate
in a specic mainframe model—do not operate a 28016B-ACPS power
supply in any 28000 system other than a 28016 mainframe.
