3.8 Hand – Over Relay Version
If hand-over relay version is to be installed, it should be wired in series connection method as
shown in the diagram below. A & B may be connected either way round to the 2 core telephone
cable supplied.
Series connection provides a way of cutting off the main apparatus (i.e. other telephones
sharing the same phone line via the secondary jack) whenever the Vocaliser needs to dial out.

NOTE: If the Vocaliser is ever removed from the installation, ensure that the telephone service
continues to be provided to the main apparatus by linking the two wires which were connected
to terminals A and A1, and by separately linking the two wires which were connected to B and
B1.
