CHAPTER 9: ENGINEER OPERATIONS
This section shows various operations of the Vocaliser
9.1 To Change Your Engineer Code
To change the engineer security code (default 5678):
¾ Dial  to change engineers code.
¾ “PLEASE ENTER NEW SECURITY CODE” will
be heard
¾ Enter the new engineers code
¾ “PLEASE REPEAT NEW SECURITY CODE” will
be heard
¾ Repeat the new engineers code
¾ “NEW SECURITY CODE SAVED” will be heard
and the code will have changed.
¾ “PLEASE ENTER COMMAND” will be heard
returning you to the engineer menu.
If a mistake is made when enter the new security code, “SECURITY CODE NOT CHANGED”
will be heard and you will need to start again.
9.2 NVM Reset (Defaulting the Vocaliser)
All the programming is held on the NVM chip, apart from voice messages. Therefore when all
power is lost (both mains and battery) all information apart from the voice messages is stored.
¾ Dial  for an NVM reset
¾ A BEEP” will be heard
¾ “PLEASE ENTER COMMAND” will be heard
returning you to the engineer menu and the panel
will be back to default.
9.3 Software Version
The software version of the Vocaliser may be asked for when contacting Pyronix Customer
Support. To receive this information:
¾ Dial  for software revision
¾ The software version number will be heard.
¾ “PLEASE ENTER COMMAND” will be heard
returning you to the engineer menu.
