CHAPTER 7: OUTPUTS (FLT & ACK)
The polarity of the outputs on the Vocaliser (see page 2, Vocaliser PCB) can be changed to
various different triggers.
7.1 The Outputs (FLT and ACK)
The two outputs on the Vocaliser can be selected to be pre-defined outputs (FLT) and
acknowledge (ACK) or general purpose outputs.
7.1.1 Output 1 (FLT)
If the output is programmed as ‘Fault’, then the output will activate when a line fault occurs.
If the output is programmed as ‘general purpose’ the user has control to toggle the output on or
off in the user menu (functions 55 - 58).
¾ Dial to program Output 1 (FLT).
¾ A “BEEP” will be heard
¾ Enter either of the following:
o Dial to set the output for ‘Fault’. “SAVED”
will be heard.
or
o Dial to set the output as a general purpose
output . “SAVED” will be heard.
¾ “PLEASE ENTER COMMAND” will then be heard
returning you to the engineer menu.
7.1.2 Output 2 (ACK)
If the output is programmed as ‘Acknowledge’, then the output will activate when all
acknowledgements from the phone calls have been received (please see user manual –
function 42). If the output is programmed as ‘general purpose’ the user has control to toggle the
output on or off in the user menu (functions 55 - 58).
¾ Dial to program Output 2 (ACK).
¾ A “BEEP” will be heard
¾ Enter either of the following:
o Dial to set the output for
‘Acknowledgement’. “SAVED” will be heard.
or
o Dial to set the output as a general purpose
output (user has control to turn the output on
or off – see user manual functions 55 - 58).
“SAVED” will be heard.
¾ “PLEASE ENTER COMMAND” will then be heard
returning you to the engineer menu.
