Irrigation System Overview
Basic Valve (Zone) Operation
The ESP-SMT Smart Modular controls when your sprinkler system turns on, and how long the sprinklers run. The controller
has several valves connected to it, as shown in the illustration on the following page.
Each valve opens when it receives power from the controller, and the sprinklers connected to that valve turn on. When
these sprinklers have run per the automatic irrigation schedule, the controller shuts o the valve and opens the next valve
scheduled to irrigate.



