1.2 Networking application
The MSG1200 is an integrated access gateway device designed for SOHO, which provides
Local Area Network (LAN) access. In addition, you can access applications in the Internet
through it.
It can be connected to a PC/IP terminal device through the LAN interface. In addition, it
can be connected downlink to a switch to connect more PCs.
In a large-scale application, it provides centralized configuration, maintenance, and
management on devices through TR069/SNMP, helping improve efficiency and reducing
costs.
It supports the Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology, providing a method to access
the private network easily and securely.
When failing to be connected uplink to a device through a fiber/cable, the MSG1200 can
be connected uplink to the device through the 3G Network Interface Card (NIC).
Therefore, services cannot be interrupted. The MSG1200 provides excellent reliability
for enterprises.
It provides the firewall feature, which is used to prevent external threats and attacks and
lower the security risk.
Figure 1-1 shows the networking application with the MSG1200.
