DepthOffset
Depthsaremeasuredfromthetransducerfacetothebottom(e.g.:seabed).Anoffsetvaluecanbe
appliedtothedepthdatasothatthedisplayeddepthreadingrepresentsthedepthreadingtaken
fromeitherthekeel(negativeoffset)orthewaterline(positiveoffset).
Beforeattemptingtosetawaterlineorkeeloffset,findouttheverticaldistancebetweenthe
transducerandeitherthewaterlineorthebottomofyourvessel’skeel,asappropriate.Thensetthe
distanceasthedepthoffsetvalue.
1. WaterlineoffsetValuesgreaterthanzero(Positivevalues)representawaterlineoffset
2.
TransducerZerooffsetrepresentsthedepthfromthetransducer’slocation
3.
KeeloffsetValueslessthanzero(Negativevalues)representakeeloffset
Settingthedepthoffset
Thedepthcalibrationconsistsofsettingadepthoffsetthatisrelevanttoyourdepthtransducer’s
location.
Fromanyfavoritepage:
1.Select Menu.
2.SelectSet-up.
3.SelectTransducersSet-up.
4.Select Continue.
Thedisplaywillsearchforanddisplayalistofconnecteddevices.(i.e.iTC-5,DSTortransducer
pod).
