vessel.Conventionaltransducerscanhaveupto5calibrationpointsandsmarttransducerscan
haveupto8.Ideallythecalibrationpointsshouldbetakenatregularincrementsthroughoutthe
speedrangewiththelastcalibrationpointbeingclosetothevessel’stopspeed.
WiththeSpeedTransducerconnectedtoaSpeedPodthe5calibrationpointsarefixedin
sequenceat2,4,8,16and32knots.WhenaddingcalibrationpointsduringtheSpeedRun
Calibrationensurevesselspeedisasclosetothefixedcalibrationpointspeedsaspossible,as
thecalibrationfactorappliedwillbethedifferencebetweentheactualvesselspeedandthe
fixedcalibrationpointspeed.

10.Ensurethevessel’sspeedissteadyatyourfirstcalibrationpointspeedandselect Add.
11.Repeatstep10forallremainingcalibrationpoints,ensuringthatthecalibrationpointsareequally
spacedthroughoutyourvessel’sspeedrangefromstationarytotopspeed.
OnceallcalibrationpointshavebeensuccessfullyaddedtheCalibrationcompletemessageis
displayed.

Bydefaultspeedtransducersincludeadefaultsetofcalibrationpointswhichareoverwrittenduring
thenormalspeedcalibrationprocess.Thecalibrationpointsarestoredinthecalibrationtable.The
calibrationtablecanbeaccessedfromtheAdvancedmenu.
Fromthe
Advancedmenuyoucan:
•Viewtheexistingcalibrationtable
•Adjusttheexistingcalibrationpoints(Add,EditorDeletecalibrationpoints)
•Enteranewcalibrationtable
•CheckLogSpeedagainstSOG
•Resetthecalibrationtabletofactorydefaults
