measuredmilemarkersareidentifiedbytwopairsofpostsortowers.Thedistancebetweeneach
pairofmarkersis1nauticalmile.
Eachmarkerinapairisseparatedbydistanceandelevationfromitspartner.Thefrontmarkeris
closertothewaterandshorterthanthemarkerbehindit.
