.3Transducermounting
Themountingprocedurebelowshouldbereadthoroughlybeforeattempting
tomountthetransducer.
Stainlesssteeltransducersaresuitableforinstallationsonvesselswith
fiberglass,metalorwoodenhulls.
Important:
•Y oumustuseALLofthesuppliedpartswheninstallingthetransducer.
•Wheninstallingthetransduceronavesselthathasametalhullthe
suppliedisolatorpartsensurethatthetransducermetalworkisfully
isolatedfromthemetalhull.
•DoNOTinstallstainlesssteeltransducersonvesselswithapositive
groundsystem.
Important:
•Onlyperformtheinstallationwithyourvesseloutofthewater .
•DoNOTliftorsuspendthetransducerusingitscable.
•Ensurethatthetransducerbodyissupportedduringinstallation.
•DoNOTremovethelabelattachedtothetransducercable;asithelpsto
ensurecorrectconnection.
•DoNOTovertightenthehullnutoranti-rotationbolt.Overtightening
cancausedamagetothehullwhichmayresultinwaterleakinginto
thevessel.

oinstallathru-hulltransduceryoumustdrill3holesinthehullofyourvessel.
Y oushouldusethesuppliedmountingtemplatetomarktheholelocation.
1.Ensurethatyouareusingthecorrecttransducer(i.e.:port/starboard,0°,
12°or20°tiltedelement)foryourchosenmountinglocation.
2.Usingself-adhesivetape,attachthesuppliedmountingtemplatetoyour
chosenmountinglocation,ensuringthat:
i.the‘Bow’arrowonthetemplateispointedtowardsthevessel’sbow.
ii.themountingtemplateisparalleltothecenterlineofthevessel.
iii.thetemplateisflatandnotcreased.
3.Piercethetemplateateachholecenterandmarktheholelocationson
thehullusingapencilormarker..
4.Removethetemplatefromthehull.
5.Drillapilotholeforthetransducerstemhole.
