Important:

Ifaholecutter/drillbitofthespecifiedsize(s)isnotavailable,useaslightly
smallersizeandthencarefullyfiletheholetothecorrectsize.Alternatively,
forlargerholes,youcoulduseajigsawtocuttheholeandthencarefully
filetheedgetocreateacircletherequiredsize.
7 .Usingahalfroundfileand/orsandpaper,ensuretherearenorough
edgesorburrsaroundthetransducerstemhole.

Assemblingtheexternalcomponents
Thestepsbelowwillguideyouthroughtheassemblyoftheexternal
components.
Note:
T oachievealonglastingwatertightseal,ensurethatallpartsareclean
anddryandapplyagenerousamountofmarine-gradesealanttoallmating
surfaces.
1.Ensurecorrectorientationusingthemarkingsandlabelsonthetopface
ofthetransducer.
2.Removetheorientationlabelsandcleantoensurethereisnoresidual
labelglue.
3.Usinganappropriateclothandcleaningagent(forexample:isopropyl
alcohol),wipecleanALLsurfacesofthesuppliedcomponentsandthe
mountinglocation,bothoutsideandinsidethehullensuringthatthey
arefreefromgreaseanddebris.
4.Ensureallsurfacesaredry.
5.Applyathickbeadofmarine-gradesealantalloverthetopfaceofthe
transducersothatitiscompletelycovered.
6.Feedthetransducercable,stemandanti-rotationstudsthroughtheholes
inthehighspeednosecone,positioningthehighspeednoseconeover
thetransducer,andthenslidethetransducerintothenose.
7.Applypressuretothehighspeednosecone,tocompressthesealant
againstthetransducer.
8.Feedthetransducercablethroughthestemholeintheexternalisolator
plate,andthenpositiontheexternalisolatorplateintherecessinthe
topofthehighspeednosecone.
9.Feedanexternalisolatorsleeveoverbothoftheanti-rotationstuds,
positioningthemintheholerecessesinthetopofthehighspeednose
cone.
