19 Certificate of conformity for REA calibration cards
Confirmation of conformity
for the
calibration and test card for the REA MLV-2D
The white values and calibration fields on the calibration card have been verified with
a REA reference device, as have the applied test codes. The corresponding reference
verification report is supplied with the respective serialised card with reference to the
serial number.
The REA reference verifier has been tested and configured with primary calibration
standards according to ISO/IEC 15426-1 and ISO/IEC 15426-2.
The primary calibration standards were obtained from Applied Image INC., USA. The
contrast values were configured with the corresponding primary calibration standards
in accordance with ISO 7724/2. The metrical calibration is based on the size
specification of the corresponding codes of the respective primary calibration
standards.
The calibration card is produced photographically as a copy of a glass master. This
photographic process causes the card to be light-sensitive. The calibration card must
be protected from natural light when stored. Scratches, dirt and other impairments
will render the calibration card unusable.
The measurement accuracy of the REA MLV-2D must be verified at regular intervals
(see section 12).
