Sprayboom Folding Out - Operation:
Folding the sprayboom into the spray position requires
the following steps:
Engage and leave engaged the tractor hydraulic control
valve connected to the Directional Stack. The hydraulic
circuit for the Directional Stack is "live" at all times.
1. Remove the cradle pin.
2. Remove both parallel cylinder locks. These locks
store underneath the upper parallel arm.
3. Raise the entire boom up to the maximum height
using the parallel up/down switch.
4. Raise the left hand and right hand wings completely
using the left and right hand wing up/down switches.
5. Unfold the left and then the right hand wing using the
left and right wing fold switches. Unfolding at the
same time may cause the tips to touch each other.
6. Unfold outer tips (if equipped) with the left and right
180º fold switches.
7. Lower the sprayboom to the desired height using the
parallel up/down switch.
8. Adjust the left and right wings for terrain angles via the
wing up/down switches.
Operate the boom with the wing tips slightly higher than
the center section. Use the left and right wing up/down
switches to raise the wing tips.

Remove the cylinder lock prior to operation. Operating the
boom with the cylinder lock in place may cause damage to
the Henschen Suspension.

Verify the 180° fold boom cylinder is fully extended and the sec-
ondary or 180° fold hinge is supported by the primary boom
section. Operation of the sprayer without the secondary boom
cylinder fully extended and the hinge being supported may
cause a failure of the secondary boom section.
IMPORTANT
Disengage the hydraulic control valve connected to the
Directional Stack when transporting or when boom move-
ment is not needed. Failure to disengage the hydraulics
may allow the boom to move without activating the boom
control switches.
