STARTING - CHARGING
Starter: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
-the nut on the starter excitation terminal (2) ,
-the nut on the positive terminal of the starter (3) .
a Move the starter wiring aside.
a Remove:
-the starter bolts (4) ,
-the starter.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check that the centring dowel (5) is in place.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the starter.
a Fit the starter wiring.
a Tighten to torque:
- the nut on the positive terminal of the starter (8
N.m),
- the nut on the starter excitation terminal (7
N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the heat shield to the starter,
- the catalytic converter (see 19B, Exhaust, Cataly-
tic converter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-17)
,
-the connecting hose (see 19B, Exhaust, Connec-
ting hose: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-60) ,
-the lower engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine moun-
ting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refitting,
page 19D-33) ,
- the engine undertray,
