Electric water pump: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
-the engine undertray bolts,
-the engine undertray.
a Remove the clips (1) from the electric coolant pump.
a Fit the tools (Ms. 583) on the hoses (2) .
a Separate the clips (3) on the electric coolant pump
hoses using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Disconnect the electric coolant pump hoses.
a Disconnect the connector (4) from the electric coo-
lant pump.
a Remove the electric coolant pump.
Essential special tooling
Ms. 583 Hose clamp pliers.
Mot. 1448 Long nose pliers for hose
clips.
