REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
-the engine cover,
-the dipstick,
-the engine undertray bolts,
-the engine undertray.
a Drain the engine oil (see 10A, Engine and cylinder
block assembly, Engine oil: Draining - Refilling,
page 10A-40) .
a Remove:
-the lower engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine moun-
ting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refitting,
page 19D-33) ,
-the sump (see 10A, Engine and cylinder block
assembly, Sump: Removal - Refitting, page
10A-25) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the oil pump bolts (1) ,
- the oil pump.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check for oil pump centering rings on the cylinder
block.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the oil pump.
a Torque tighten the oil pump bolts (25 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the sump (see 10A, Engine and cylinder block
assembly, Sump: Removal - Refitting, page
10A-25) ,
-the lower engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine moun-
ting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refitting,
page 19D-33) ,
a Fill up the engine oil (see 10A, Engine and cylinder
block assembly, Engine oil: Draining - Refilling,
page 10A-40) .
Tightening torquesm
oil pump bolts 25 N.m
IMPORTANT
Wear leaktight gloves (Nitrile type) for this opera-
tion.
