Fuel tank: Removal - Refitting

a For vehicles equipped with a tank which does not
have an offset breather (tank without a breather pipe
going from the tank to the wheel arch), the new tank
must be adapted by cutting the breather pipe at (A)
with the tool (Mot. 1352).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the fuel tank.
a Torque tighten the fuel tank bolts (21 N.m).
a Connect the filler neck hose to the fuel tank.
a For vehicles equipped with a tank which has an off-
set breather (tank with a breather pipe going from
the tank to the wheel arch), connect the offset brea-
ther pipe of the fuel tank.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Remove the component support.
a Fit the fuel vapour absorber outlet pipe.
a Connect the union of the fuel vapour absorber outlet
pipe.
a Position the fuel pipes.
a Clip the fuel supply pipes onto the fuel tank.
a Fit the rigid brake pipes.
a Clip on the rigid brake pipes.
a Connect the anti-return pipe union.
a Refit a new clip on the fuel tank end of the « filler
neck - fuel tank » connecting hose.
a Refit the rear heat shield.
a Torque tighten the rear heat shield bolts (21 N.m).
