3. Close the duplex unit cover.

Blank paper may be delivered after printing resumes.
• Continue to remove the jammed paper according to subsequent error messages until the messages
no longer appear. See page 224 "Paper Jam".
• If paper jams occur repeatedly, see page 222 "Paper Is Not Fed or Delivered Normally".
Removing Paper Jammed in the Duplex Unit
1. Detach the duplex unit.
See page 28 "Attaching and Detaching the Duplex Unit".
2. Remove the jammed paper from the rear of the machine.

3. Reattach the duplex unit.

• Unless the duplex unit is attached correctly, paper jams may occur.
