10 Place the meter on a level, vibration-
free surface, or hold it in your hand so
it is roughly horizontal. Turn the meter
on by pressing the ON/OFF button .
11 Alternatively, you can insert a test
strip or connect the meter to the
power adapter to turn it on.
12 Wait until the main menu is displayed,
and log on.
13 Check the battery level. If there are
no bars left in the battery symbol, you
cannot perform any more tests.
14 Check that the date and time are
correct. Correct any wrong entries
as described in the chapter entitled
Meter setup/Setting the date.
