11.13.2 Reference: GPIB Commands of Emulated HP Models
The R&S FSW analyzer family supports a subset of the GPIB commands of HP mod-
els 8560E, 8561E, 8562E, 8563E, 8564E, 8565E, 8566A, 8566B, 8568A, 8568B and
8594E.
Despite the differences in system architecture and device features, the supported com-
mands have been implemented in a way to ensure a sufficiently high degree of corre-
spondence with the original.
This includes the support of syntax rules for not only newer device families (B and E
models) but for the previous A family as well.
In many cases the selection of commands supported by the R&S FSW is sufficient to
run an existing GPIB program without adaptation.

As with the original units, the R&S FSW includes the command set of the A models in
the command set of the B models.
The HP model 8591E is compatible to HP model 8594E, the HP models 71100C,
71200C, and 71209A are compatible to HP models 8566A/B.
