T he F R-3x con t ains an energy saving fu nc t ion that
switches the instrument off when it is left unat-
t
en ded for more than 10 min ut es. Yo u may therefore
have to sw i tch it on again from time to time. Yo u can
specify how lang the FR-3x sho u ld wait befare pow-
ering off automatically. See "Auto Power Off" on
p.55.

Connecting the FR - 3x to an
amplifier, mixer, etc .
The FR -3x is equipped with an internalspeaker system
and thus does not need to be connected to an amplifier
at all. T here may be times , however when using an
externa l amplification system is more convenient.

If you are using optional batteries and need to eonneet the
FR- 3x to a PA sys telll or Illixer, we reeolllillend using a eOIll-
Illereia ll y available wireless systelll to avoid having to use
exeessive ly l ong si gnal eables .

Use either a lang signal cable (10m or more) or an optional wi re less system
(recommended).
Please choose unbalanced (mona) cables with 1/4"
Jacks at ane end (for the FR-3x). The connectors at
t he ot her endneed to match the input sockets of the
device to which you are connecting the FR-3x.

If you use a eOllllllereially available w ireless transmitter,
the F R-3x's output signals Illay distort. In that case, ehange
t he F R-3 x 's output level (see "Output L evel Attenuation" on
p.55)
