Loading User Set memories from
USB memory (optional)
The FR-3x allows you to copy individual Sets from a
USB memory to the four internal "USER" Set locations.
The Set files (wi th the extension ".S T3") must first be
copied to a USB memory's root directory before loading
them into the FR -3x's "USER" area.

Be sure to connect you r U SB IlleIllary before proceeding. See
"Connecting an optional U SB Illelllory" on p. 34.
1. Press and hold down th e [SEl] register.
The displa y shows th e na me of the last para met er
yo u selected .
2. Use treble register [3] or [4] (PARAM LIST)
to select "USt" (User Set).
3. Use treble re gist e rs [1] and [2] (VALUE) to
select the fil e numb er of th e Set YOLI want
to load.
If
the U SB memory d oesn't contain any Set files , the
d isplay wi ll show "---" instead of a nu mber.
4. Press treble re gist er [7] (ENTER) to c onfirm
your selection.

5. Use tr eble re gist e rs [1] and [2] (VALUE) to
select th e desired ta rg et memory (1 ~ 4).
6. Press treble register [7] (ENTER) to load the
selected Set.

he display shows "Iod" (Loadl, t hen "d on" (D one) to
indicate that the fi le was l oaded successf ull y. Ne xt ,
the FR- 3x returns to the main page.

Loading new sounds from a USB
memory (optional)
The FR-3 x allows you to odd new sounds to the internal
sounds. The new sounds (files with the ". BI3 " ex tension)
must be copied to a USB memory's root directory, after
which you can load them with the FR-3x. "Loading"
means that they will be copied to a permanent internal
memoryarea.
There are two such memory areas (" 7"
and "2") .

Be su re to connect your U SB Ille III o ry befare proceeding. See

1. Press and hold down the [SET] register.
The di splay shows th e nam e of the l as t parameter
yo u selected.
2. Us e treble register [3] or [4] (PARAM LIST)
to select "Snd" (Sound).
3. Use tr e bl e re gist e rs [1] and [2] (VALUE) to
select th e number of the sound file YOLI
want to load from the connected USB me m-

If
t he USB memor y doesn' t contain any so u nd files,
the displa y wi ll show "---" instead of a n um ber.
4. Press tr e bl e re gist er [7] (ENTER) to confirm
your selection.
The FR-3 x su ggests memor y area " 1" as target for the
selected f il e.
5. Use treble registers [1] and [2] (VALUE) to
select the desired target memory area (1 or
2).
6. Press tr e bl e re gist er [7] (ENTER) to load th e
selected sound set.
The displa y shows "Iod" (L oad) to indicate that th e
data are being loaded (this may take 1.5 minutes).
Ne x t, the "don" (Done) message appears to signal
that the file was loaded successf ull y.
[NOTE]
The new sounds can on ly be Llsed if YOLi also load the asso-
cia ted User Sets and selec t one of th ose.
