Importing
the
settings
of
a
previous
FR
-3
model
This
function allows
you
to
load
MIDI
bulk
data
of
an
older
FR-3
or
FR-3b
V-Accordion
model
from
a
USB
memory's
root
directory.
CAREFUL!
T
he
settings
loaded
with
the
"OLd"
function
will overwrite
all
of t
he
FR-3
x
's
internal settings.
Preparing
the
file
H
ere
is
what
you
need
to
do
with
the
FR-3
:
[NOTE)
Ifyou al
ready
have
a
backup
f
il
e of
the
FR-3'ssettings y
ou
are
interested
in,
you
only
need
to
make
sure
that
the
file
with
those
set
t
ings
w
as
saved
as
a
Standard
MIDI
File
and
that i
ts
name
and
extension
conform
to
t
he
requirements
(three
dig-
its +
".mid"
ex
tension).
Connect
the
legacy
FR-3
to
yo
ur computer
or
yo
ur
comp
u
ter's
M
IDI
interface.
Use
a
sequencer
program
and
the
FR-3's
Bul
k
Dump
funct
ion
("dMP")
to
transmit
its
settings
to
the
com-
puter.
See
the
FR-3's
owners
manual
and
the
documenta-
tion
of
your
sequencer
program for
details.
Save
the
resulting
seq
u
ence
as
a
Standard
MIDI
File
(wi
th
the
".mid"
extension).

name

on
ly
consist
of
three
digits
anc!

tension
("OO

.mid",
for ex

le).
Remove
the
USB
memory
from your computer
and
connect it
to
the
FR-3
x
(see
"Connecting all
op
tional
USB
memory"
on
p.
34).
Loading
your
archived
settings into
the
FR
-
3x
1.
Press and hold down the
[SET]
register.
The
display
sho
ws
the
name
of
the
last
parameter
y
ou
selected.

Use
treble register
[3]
or
[4]
(PARAM
LIST)
to select
"OLd"
(Old
Data
Load).

Use
treble registers
[1]
ancl
[2]
(VALUE)
to
select the number of the file
you
want to
loacl
from the connected
USB
memory.

the
USB
memory doesn't contain
any
archive
files,
the
display
will
show
"---"
instead
of a n
um
ber.

Press treble register
[7]
(ENTER)
to
loacl
the
selected archive file.
The
display
shows
"Iod" (L
oadJ.
then
"don"
(Done)
to
indicate that
the
file
was
loaded
successfully.
Next,
the
FR-3x
returns to t
he
main
page.
