U sing Sets
The FR-3x is a "virtual" accordion. It recreates the sounds of va rious accordion instruments and can even generate
orehestrai
sounds (like trumpet, flute, etc), organ and drum sounds .
Recalling a Set is silllilar to switching to a different
accordion.
Most of these set-
tings can be saved.

The FR -3x contains 25 Sets divided over 10 fal1l i lies. 9
Set fal1lilies have been progral1ll1led at the factory
("CLASS I C"~"ET H N I C", see the legends above the treble
registers), while
ane fal1lily ("USER") can be Llsed to load
User Sets frol1l an optional USB l1lel1lory.
Each Set fal1lily l1lay cOl1lprise severai Se ts (see "Factory
Se t s" on p. 69). Recalling aSet il1ll1lediately changes the
settings of the sections presented on p. 26 and config-
LIres the treble and bass registers.
Seleeting Sets
To se/ect the desired Set, proceed os follows:
1. Pr e ss the [SET] registe r.
The nLll1lber of t he selected Set flashes in the display.
The first digit frol1l the left refers to the Set fal1lily,
the second to the Set l1lel1lory within that fal1lily. If,
after pressing ( SET] once, YOLi do not press a treble
register, the display retLirns to the
l1lain page after a
while.
In that case, press (SET] again and proceed with step
2.

If YOLi hold do wn [SET) for more than 2 seconds without
pressing ano t her register, the FR-3 x switches to PARAME-
T ER made. In that case, press [SET) again to leave that
made, then repeat step 1.
2. Press one of the treble registers [1]~[O] to
select the Set family.
Set selection is handled in the following way:
• If the Set fal1lily YOLi select is the sal1le as the ane YOLi
have been LIsing sa far, the FR-3x selects the next Set
within that fal1lily.
E xa mpl e: Pressing ( 1] CLASSIC whi le the display
shows "11" selects Set memory "12" (still within the
"CLASSIC" family).
To ga from Set "11" to Set "14", YOLi therefore need to
press register (1] three t imes after pressing (SET]
• If YOLi select a different Set family, the FR-3 x
switches to the newly
selected Set fal1lily and recalls
the last l1lemory YOLi selected wi thin that family.
[NOTE]
For the Us er Set memories. the display shows a "U" and the
nUl11ber of the selected U ser Set (1 ~ 4). There are four Us er
Sets.

While the USER PRG indicator below the display lights. it is
impossible to select Sets.
