Treble section
The Treble section con be played
using the 31-key "piano" keyboard
or the 92 treble buttons.
The sound it produces is deter -
mined by the register [l}~[O J you
pressed last. This section can be
used to play accordion, orchestral
and organ
sounds.
Seleeting sounds for the right hand
This section expla i ns how to select accor di on , orchestral
an d organ so unds for t he t reble sec t ion (right hand ). On
p. 27, vou wi li learn how to combine accor di on notes
with an orchestral or organ sound .
So u nds are selected using treble registers [ 1]~[O ] . To
select an orchestral or organ so u nd, VO U first need to
press [O RGAN!ORC H ESTRA l, and then a t reble regis t er.
1. Switch on the FR-3x.
See "Switching the power on and off" on p. 21 .
2. If VOll wish to select a treble accorclion reg-
ister, skip to step
5.
(NOTE]
After switching on the FR-3 x. the treble registers select
accordion sounds.
3. Press the [ORGAN/ORCHESTRA] register
once
if VOll wish to select an orehestrai
sOLlncl, or twice to select an organ sOLlncl.
(If vou press [ORGAN!ORC H ESTRA ] a third time, the
treble reg i sters once again allow vo u to select accor-
dion
sounds.)
The number of the last sound VOU selected for that
group
(orchestra or organ) is indicated bV the right-
most digit in the displav.

4. PI av a few notes to check whether VOll have
selected the correct sound familv (accor-
dion, orehestrai or organ).
Do not forget to move the be ll ows in or d er to hear
t he notes VO U are pl aving.
If VO U did no t se l ec t the correct so und fa mi lv, retu rn
to st ep 3.
5. Press one of the 10 treble registers ([1]~[O])
to select the clesirecl sOLInd.
T he rightmost digit in t he displav changes and indi-
ca t es t he nu mbe r of the so u nd vo u have just
selec t ed .

Additional information about the accordion
section
The FR -3x allows VO U to select am on g 14 accordion
so u nds (even tho u gh t here are onlV 10 t reble registers ).
Four treble registers are assigned to two different
sounds. These are shown in black in t he illustration
below. T he little sq u are in the re ed configurati on also
alerts VO U to t he fac t that t he registers in qu estion (2, 5,
6 and 9) allow vo u to selec t t wo so und s:

Registers [21. [5]. [61 and [9] allow you to select two different accor·
dion sounds .
Pressing register [ 2], [5 1, [6 ] or [9] once selects the "A"
sound . Pressing it again selects the "b" so u nd. For these
regis t ers . the displav brieflv shows bo th the register
nu mber and an "A" or a " b".
