Stand-alone electronic instrument
Tho u gh the FR-3x is a fully electron ic instrument, you
do not nee d to connec t it to an amp lifier in order to

he FR-3x can also be powered using 10 commercially
available rechargeable Ni-MH ba tt eries , so t ha t yo u

PBM (Physical Behavior Modeling)
T he FR -3x V-Accordion is based on Roland's so und gen-
era t ion technology c alle d "P BM " (P hysical Behavior
Mode l ing) whose sonic res ult is very close to th e so und
of t
rad itional accordions.
Super realistic accordion simulations
All sounds the FR-3x pro du ces were obtained by sam-
pling popular traditional aco ustic accor d ions.
This V-Accordion allows you to switch from an Italian
ja zz accordion to German folk, French mu sette or a his-
toric
bandoneon sound - wi thout changing yo ur tech-
ni
que .

Orehestrai sounds
10 orchestral so unds can be used in combination with
traditional accordion

lows articulation, and unique keyboard modes (Solo ,

Tonewheel organ sOlInds
The FR-3x allows you to play amazing organ so u nds in
almost t he same way as an organ player using t he tre-
ble section. You can add a rotary effect (slow/fast)
Drum sounds
You can also u se the FR -3x to play simple drum parts
with your left hand (bass and chord sections) .
SOllnd expansion
The FR -3x pro v ides two internalmemories that allow
you to add new sounds.
Sophisticated bellows response
Faster response an d higher sensi tivity and precision
pl us detection of bellows opening/closing with new
bellows pressure sensing circuitry.

bellows resistance regulator knob allows you to
adjust the bello w s' inertia to your preference.
USB-based audio player
T he FR-3x con t ains an au dio player function that a ll ows
yo u to play back mp3 and WAV f il es directly from a
connec ted USB me mory.
Save your settings to a USB memory
Yo u can save yo ur se ttings by connecting an optional
U SB memory to t he F R-3x 's U SB port.

other MIDI keyboar d, MI DI wind instrument, etc., you
may know.
