Playing back audio files
1. Insert an optional USB l11el11ory into the
FR-3x's
USB port (see left).
The FR- 3x automatically loads the first audio f il e in
alphabetical order that it detects ill th e USB mem-
ory's root folder.
2. Hold down the [ORGANjORCHESTRA] regis-
ter
and pr ess register [O] to start playback.
Playback of the selected audio file st arts and the dis-
play shows the first three charac t ers of the audio
f il e's name as well as three dots that flash from left
to right:
T he "serailing" dots (alternate flashing from lett to
right) mean that playback is running.
(In the example above, the display shows the first
three characters of a file called "Ama zing
Grace.wav".)
The FR-3 x oilly displays th e first three characters of
the audio file Ilames. See "Tip for namillg audio files"
011 p. 34 for how to ens ure that yo u can tell the files
apar t.

[NOTE]
If you hold down [ORG AN!O RCHESTR A) for more than 2
seconds without pressing ano th er register, the FR-3x
switches to demo sang made. In that case, press [ORGAN!
ORCHESTRA) again to leave demo sang made, then repeat
step 2.
3. If you are using the audio file as your
accol11paniment. start playing on the FR-3x
as you norma"y would.
4. To paus e playback of the audio file, hold
down the
[ORGAN/ORCHESTRA] register a nd
press register [O].

Playbac k of the selected audio file stops and the
three dots flash simultaneously:

If playback is stopped, the three dots fl ash
simultaneausly.
5. To return to the beginning of the current
sang, hold down the
[ORGANjORCHESTRA]
register and press register [9].
[NOTE]
Press registers [9) ([8) and [Q) (EZill) silllultaneously to
view the name of the currently selected audio file .
Selecting audio files
As stated above, the FR-3x automatically se/ects the
first audio file it detects on the USB memory you insert.
To se/ect a different file, proceed as follows:
1. Press a nd hold the [SET] register to enter
PARAMETER made.
The display shows the name of the last parameter
yo u selected .
