Operation of the RM-2
Sounding the Metronome
To play the metronome sound, press the [METRONOME] button.
Press the [ ] or [ ] button to adjust the tempo. You can adjust the tempo between 10 and
300 BPM.

Setting the Metronome to Play in Time with the Tapped
Tempo (Tap Tempo)
You can adjust the metronome tempo by tapping the [TAP] button or striking the pad in time
with a song’s tempo.
1.
Press the [TAP] button.
The tempo value flashes in the display.
2.
Press the [TAP] button or strike a connected pad several times in time with the song’s tempo.
The same sound as that selected for the metronome will sound.
The metronome’s tempo will adopt the timing you’ve used while tapping the button or striking the pad.

When you decide that the tempo is correct, either hold down the [TAP] button for at least two
seconds, or press the [SELECT] or [METRONOME] button to set the value. If you press the
[METRONOME] button, the metronome starts.
If you tap the pad while the metronome is on, you can adjust the tempo while
monitoring the resulting change.

Changing the Metronome Settings
You can change the metronome beat, rhythm type, sound, volume, and display.

Press the [SELECT] button to select the parameter to be changed.
Hold down the [SELECT] button and press the [ ] button to have selections come
up in the reverse order.

Press the [ ] or [ ] button to set the values for each parameter.
For more detailed information on each individual parameter, refer to the Parameter List that
follows.
3.
Press the [SELECT] button until you return to the normal tempo screen.
You can also return to the normal tempo screen by holding down the [SELECT]
button for at least two seconds.
