Operation of the RM-2
METRONOME LEVEL
Adjusts the metronomes volume level.
off, 1–8
off, 1–2
(Adjusts the volume of the metronome sound that is heard when nothing is
connected to the HEADPHONE/OUTPUT jack.)
METRONOME MODE
Changes the metronome display.

Setting the Sound and the Sensitivity
The RM-2 features 28 different drum sounds, which can add rich expression to your
performances.
Additionally, you can fine-tune the sensitivity of the connected pads will have, allowing you
to achieve just the right feel and response.

1. Press the [SELECT] button to select the parameter to be changed.
Hold down the [SELECT] button and press the [ ] button to have selections come
up in the reverse order.
2. Press the [ ] or [ ] button to set the values for the PAD INST and the PAD SENS
parameters.
For more detailed information on each individual parameter, refer to the Parameter List that
follows.
3. Press the [SELECT] button until you return to the normal tempo screen.
You can also return to the normal tempo screen by holding down the [SELECT]
button for at least two seconds.
Connecting Two RP-2 Pads
With two RP-2 pads connected to Trigger Input 1 and 2, you can make different sound
settings for each pad.
1. Press the [SELECT] button to select PAD INST.
2. Strike the pad connected to Trigger Input 1.
When you strike the pad, the Trigger 1 indicator flashes, indicating the pad being set.
3. Press the [ ] or [ ] button to set the values for the PAD INST.
4. Change the PAD SENS setting.
5. Now strike the pad connected to Trigger Input 2.
When you strike the pad, the Trigger 2 indicator flashes, indicating the pad being set.
6. Change the PAD INST and PAD SENS settings.
