Panel Descriptions
RHYTHM COACH (RM-2)

[VOLUME] knob
Adjusts the output volume from the
HEADPHONES/OUTPUT jack.

Display
Displays the tempo and other information.
Additionally, the Trigger 1 and 2
indicators flash when the corresponding
pads connected to Trigger Input 1 and 2
are struck.
The BATTERY LOW indicator flashes
when the battery power runs low (p. 9).

Buzzer
If nothing is connected to the
HEADPHONES/OUTPUT jack, the
metronome’s beep sound is played
from here. Pad sounds are not played.

Value [ ] [ ] button
Use these buttons to change the values
of each parameter.
To increase the value rapidly, first hold
down [ ], then hold down[ ]. To
decrease the value rapidly, first hold
down [ ], then hold down [ ].
(When the RM-2 displays the
metronome's tempo, the value changes
in a stepped manner, similar to that of a
standard metronome.)
5.
[TAP] button
Adjusts the metronome tempo to
match the timing used to tap the button
or strike the pad (p. 13).
6.
Holes for mounting the RP-2.
7.
[METRONOME] button
Starts and stops the metronome.
8.
[SELECT] button
Provides for selection among the eight
parameters shown along the top of the
RM-2. Press the [SELECT] button to
cycle through the available choices,
from BEAT through COACH, and then
return to the normal tempo screen. If
you hold down the [SELECT] button
while you press the [ ] button, you
can select parameters in the reverse
order.

Parameter Indicators
These function as metronome
indicators.
Additionally, the indicator for the
selected parameter flashes.
