Operation
► Briefly press the Start power generator function switch to switch on the
ignition.
The control unit is activated - display illuminates.
► Press the Start power generator function switch to start the power gen-
erator.
► Release the function switch immediately after starting.
Power generator runs.
► If the engine does not start wait ten seconds before the next start at-
tempt.
The Super Silent design variant may not be operated with engine hood
removed.
Starting the power generator with a manual pull starter (emergency operation)
DANGER!
Danger due to restricted safety systems in emergency operation!
During emergency operation important safety systems on the power
generator are not monitored.
The use of the power generator in emergency operation is only
conceived for emergency situations. After use, the fault must be
rectified immediately in order to ensure safety and readiness for use
again.
Emergency operation is activated as soon as the engine is running and
the control unit is switched off. In the event of a malfunction during
operation, emergency operation can be activated by removing fuse
F57.
Emergency operation without a control unit is not permitted, as the
emergency stop is located on the control unit.
Starting the power generator with a manual pull starter activates the
emergency operation.
In emergency operation the following functions are deactivated:
• Error and warning lights
• internal battery charging
► For emergency operation swivel out, or operate the portable power
generator outside its compartment.
► Emergency operation in swivelled in condition is forbidden.
► Only start the power generator with the manual pull starter if the starter
battery is heavily discharged or defective.
