9 Troubleshooting
9.1 Failure
If problems or repairs can not be clearly identified or solved please contact
the customer service department or your Rosenbauer representative.
The following list offers an overview of possible faults. The list is not com-
plete, but in the event of a malfunction it can be helpful in localising and rec-
tifying the fault.
9.1.1 Power generator
Fault Cause Remedy
Engine does not start
(Starter rotates)
with wet spark plugs Check:
Air filter
Temperature sensor
Ignition
Water in fuel system
With dry spark plus Check
Fuel filter
Tank capacity
Fuel pump
Injection valve
Throttle valve
Spark plugs dirty
Spark plug gap too large or
too small
If the spark plug is defective
under load
If the ignition interrupter (kill-
er) is activated
If a spark is present
Clean the spark plug contacts or replace
them
Check gap with feeler gauge
Check spark plugs with high-voltage test
device
Check connection to ignition coil and the
signal from the Stop relay K97
Check ignition coil
If the injection valve is con-
trolled
check controller with LED test lamp
If the engine is flooded with
fuel
Check air filter, spark plugs and ignition
coil
Old fuel Replace fuel
No fuel Refuelling
There's water in the fuel Replace fuel
Fuel lines and filter blocked Clean or replace fuel lines and filter
Starting under load Disconnect consumer
