Service work
8.5 Service work
Service work is work that may only be carried out by specially authorised
expert personnel.
Only perform service work on switched off and cooled down power gener-
ator.
This work is to be carried out or allowed to be carried out in accordance with
the manufacturer's regulations.
Maintain service intervals, as well as officially prescribed testing schedules
and create written records for them.
Observe the operating instructions of the individual pieces of equipment
and units!
NOTICE
Neglecting these recommendations will result in loss of warranty.
8.5.1 Preparatory activities for changing RS14 EFI Super Silent oil filter
To change the oil filter on the propulsion engine of the power generator, it
is necessary to remove a ventilation plate beforehand.
► The oil filter is located behind the lateral ventilation plate next to the
fuel tank cap. To remove the ventilation plate 3 pcs. fastening screws
have to be dismantled.
► Dismantle 3 x fastening screws on the lateral ventilation plate with
Torx screwdriver.
The ventilation plate can be carefully removed and put away pro-
tected.
The oil filter can be changed according to the engine manufactur-
ers specifications.
► Carefully replace the ventilation plate on the power generator.
► Mount 3 x fastening screws on the lateral ventilation plate with
Torx screwdriver. Seal in the fastening screws with a liquid-locking
compound, e.g. Loctite.
8.5.2 Preparatory activities for changing air filter
To change the air filter on the propulsion engine of the power generator, it
is necessary to dismantle or remove covers beforehand.
