Service work
► Fasten battery and connect battery terminal.
In avoid sparks first connect the cable from the plus terminal and
then the one from the earth terminal.
► Close battery compartment cover.
Starter battery has been replaced.
Battery charge retention
The leakage current on the electrical components is approx. 0.5 mA.
The integrated charge controller charges with up to 14.8 volts while the
engine is running.
Unregulated chargers with manual monitoring (permissible):
Regulated chargers without additional monitoring (recommended):
Charging battery:
The charging time depends on the remaining capacity, the battery size
and the charging current used.
► Charge the battery at a rest voltage of 12.4 volts at the latest.
► Do not let the rest voltage drop below 12 volts.
The battery would be damaged (sulphation).
► Do not exceed the maximum permissible operating temperature of
60°C of the battery.
Observe separate information in the operating manual of the battery!
