4. WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT BY USER – IF NEEDED
4.1. Refuelling of the vehicle
For operation of the engine a mixture of unleaded fuel of octane number of ROZ
min.
95 or 91 (RON
+ MON) / 2 and a fully synthetic 2-stroke oil at a mixing ratio of 1 : 50 (= 2 %).
Example: For 10 litres of fuel add 0,20 litre 2-stroke oil.
For 2,5 gal fuel add 0,05 gal 2-stroke oil.
¨ Fill the required quantity of fully synthetic 2-stroke oil into a clean fuel jerrican.
Note: Normally no special KART 2-stroke oil is necessary.
¨ Add unleaded fuel of an octane number of ROZ
min.
95 or 91 (RON + MON) / 2 at the
calculated ratio into the jerrican.
Attention: A too high 2-stroke oil percentage (more than 2 %) can cause engine problems (e.g.
carbonization of the exhaust valve).
Attention: A too low 2-stroke oil percentage (less than 2 %) can cause engine problems (e.g.
piston seizure).
S Warning: Do not experiment with other fuels, this may cause damage to the engine and the
intake system.
S Warning: When preparing the fuel/oil mixture and when refuelling, never handle with open
light or fire. Fuel and fuel vapours are easily inflammable and explosive!
S Warning: Never mix or refill fuel in closed rooms. Handle fuel only in well vented places!
Note: Do not fill the fuel jerrican brim-full.
¨ Shake fuel jerrican vigorously.
¨ Fill fuel tank of the vehicle with a suitable device (funnel).
¨ Close fuel tank and jerrican immediately after refuelling.
S Warning: Shake the jerrican with the fuel/oil mixture vigorously before every re-fuelling to
assure sufficient blending of the mixture.
S Warning: The vehicle must only be refuelled when engine is stopped and the ON/OFF switch
is at OFF position.
S Warning: Do not allow fuel to come into contact with hot engine parts or accessories – risk of
inflammation and explosion!
