General Mode:
Note
In the wireless repeater mode, the device extends Wi-Fi signals and disables its DHCP function. When clients
connect to the wireless network, the primary router assigns addresses for them. When the device in the
wireless repeater mode extends the network of primary router, the WAN interface is unchanged. If you connect
the network cable to the WAN interface, the device automatically switches to the wired repeater mode.
(1) Click Repeater Mode and select General Mode (Recommended) from the drop-down list. Select the Wi-Fi
of the primary router, and enter the Wi-Fi password of the primary router to connect to the Wi-Fi.
(2) Click Next. On the Set Wi-Fi page that opens, enter the Wi-Fi SSID and password of local router and the
management password for the extender. You can select Same as Primary Router Wi-Fi, in which Wi-Fi
SSID and password will be same as the primary router Wi-Fi, or select New Wi-Fi to set new Wi-Fi SSID and
password. You can select Same as Primary Router Wi-Fi or New Wi-Fi. For the management password,
you can check Same as Wi-Fi Password.
