1. Flushing connector
39) Ventilation Ducts
The ventilation ducts allow air to flow
to ventilate engine compartment and
supply air to engine. Never obstruct
ventilation ducts.
40) Jet Pump Nozzle
Turns side to side via input from the
steering wheel. This provides direc-
tional control when engine is running.
Refer to PROPULSION under PRINCI-
PLE OF OPERATION.
41) Reverse Gate
When selecting the neutral or reverse
position with the throttle/shift lever,
the reverse gate moves up or down to
obtain the desired position.
42) Retractable Ladder
1. Retractable ladder
Located under swim platform. A con-
venient ladder to help reboarding the
boat.
Pull latch to unlock the ladder.

Never use nozzle as a supporting
point to board the boat or to lift it.
WARNING
Never use gate as a supporting
point to board the boat. Throttle/
shift lever should only be used
when the engine is idling and boat
is completely stopped.

Engine should be OFF when using
ladder. Keep limbs away from jet
or intake grate. Stay on center of
the ladder. Only one person at the
time on the ladder. Never use the
ladder for pulling, towing, diving
or jumping, boarding a boat that is
out of water or any other purpose
other than a ladder.
