As necessary, the cooling system of
the engine should be flushed before re-
starting, to remove sand or shell accu-
mulation which may clog the water
passages. Refer to POST-OPERATION
CARE and look for COOLING SYSTEM
FLUSHING.

If the engine is stopped, direction-
al control is lost. Always discon-
nect safety lanyard when boat is
not in operation in order to prevent
accidental engine starting or to
avoid unauthorized use by children
or others or theft.
