7.2.5.1 Fieldbus Mode Selection for Reading the Pyrometer Data
To read out the measured temperature and measurement relevant parameters, a fieldbus mode must
be selected. There are 3 available, the setting is made via .
Modes: The first two modes list the transmitted data, they are for information and can not be changed.
In user-defined mode, the data to be transferred can be compiled from a list of all available data and the
order can be determined.
Mode 0: Downward compatible to Metis series: Provides a non-modifiable parameter list that is
compatible with older pyrometer models MS / MI / MQ etc., it is used to substitute an M3 for these
devices.
Mode 1: Fixed format M3 series with the most frequently used parameters: Provides a non-
modifiable parameter list that includes the most commonly used parameters of a fully featured py-
rometer.
Mode 2: Custom format M3 series: In this mode, the required parameters can be individually se-
lected to create own profiles.
Note about parameters listed with (*): These parameters are not supported by the device. For
compatibility purposes to 2-channel devices, they can be transmitted as an empty area, in the event
that 1- and 2-channel devices are to be used together. By placing the hook below the list, these pa-
rameters can be hidden from the list.
Mode 0 (Data packet size 32 Byte): sequence and meaning
