Using “Osaifu-Keitai compatible services”

To use Osaifu-Keitai compatible services, make settings for
services from Osaifu-Keitai app. Some services do not require
the download of the Osaifu-Keitai compatible app.

In the home screen, select “apps folder”▶
[Osaifu-Keitai]

If the initial settings are not completed, the initial settings
screen appears. Follow the instructions on the screen and
operate.

Make settings from an app or website of the service.

Hold the # mark of the handset over the
scanning device
z
You cannot use Osaifu-Keitai compatible services in Airplane
mode. However, you can pay by holding the handset over a
scanning device.
z
You can use the services by holding the handset over the
scanning devices without activating Osaifu-Keitai compatible
app.
z
Communicating with the scanning device is available even if
you turn the power off. However, you may not be able to use it if
the power remains turned off for a long time, the battery level is
insufficient or a certain period of time has passed after turning
the power on.
z
Since the communications necessary to provide Osaifu-Keitai
compatible services run in the background regardless of the
setting of Data Saver (

P. 165 “Data usage”), Osaifu-Keitai
compatible apps may incur packet communication charges.
z
After turning the power on, restarting the handset or updating
software, unlock the screen before holding the handset over the
scanning device and then use an Osaifu-Keitai compatible
service.
z
If you have not subscribed to sp-mode, you may not be able to
use some functions of an Osaifu-Keitai compatible service.
