Diagnosis
The diagnostic messages can be made visible online with the aid of a tool, e.g. SIMATIC HW config
under the “Module Status“ menu item.
Standard PROFIBUS-DP mechanisms are used to transport diagnosis information and signaled actively to
the class 1-Master. The DIAGNOSIS parameter from the Physical Block is then available to the master as
diagnostic information. The device states are displayed on the PROFIBUS-PA physical block DIAGNOSIS
bits.
The diagnostic messages can be made visible online in the module status with the aid of a tool, e.g. SIMATIC
HW config. It is also possible to read out the DIAGNOSIS parameter using SIMATIC PDM.
