Functions/Operation using PROFIBUS-PA
After installation and bus configuration, setting of the station address (see chapter 5 Operation) the
system can be configured with the corresponding tools.
The current firmware version of the devices should be checked with retrofitting, see chapter 6.2:
Firmware
A PC software such as SIMATIC PDM must be used for operation using PROFIBUS-PA. Operation is
described in the appropriate instruction manuals and online helps which you should consult. At the
moment PROFIBUS-PA communication only provides access to a limited scope of functions for the
ULTRAMAT / OXYMAT / CALOMAT gas analyzer.
4.1 Selection of Devices with a Configuring Tool
Selection of the ULTRAMAT / OXYMAT / CALOMAT gas analyzers is to be explained with STEP 7,
HW-Config as an example.
