Mostboilersuseloadcontrollermode"IntLC"whichutilizesthelocaltemperature/pressuresensorand
alocalsetpointenteredthroughtheAZLdisplay.Thefollowingprocedureoutlineshowtosetupthis
mode:
1. Ifpossible,shutofftheburnerswitch.LettheburnergetbacktoPhase12(standby).
2. Verifythattheloadcontrollerisinthecorrectmodethroughthefollowingmenupath:
Params&Display>LoadController>Configuration
Set parameter LC_OptgMode to "IntLC".Next, verify that the connected pressure or
temperature sensor is configured correctly.In the same menu, set Sensor Select to
“PressSensor” for a steam boiler or to the appropriate te
mperature sensor for a hot water
boiler.
3. Ifapressuresensorwasselected,twoadditionalparametersmustbesetinthesamemenu.Set
parameterExtInpX61U/ItomatchthepressuresensorwiredintotheX61terminal.Typically
this will be 0‐10VDC or 4‐20mA and will be printed on the side of the sensor.Next, set
parameterMRangePressSenstothehighrangeofthepressuresensor.Thisistypicallyprinte
d
onthesideofthepressuresensor.
4. ConfiguresetpointW1(thelocalsetpoint)throughthefollowingmenupath:

5. Settheturn‐onpoint(SD_ModOn)andtheturn‐offpoint(SD_ModOff)fortheboiler.Theseare
percentagesbasedonthecurrentsetpoint(W1).Themenupathfortheseparametersis:
Params&Display>LoadController>ControllerParam
Typically,theburnerisshutoff10%oversetpointandturnedbackon1%abovesetpoint.
NOTE:Other pressure / temperature controls or lim
itsonthe boiler must be setabove the
SD_ModOffpressure/temperature.
NOTE:SD_ModOff and SD_ModOn are only valid for internal load controller modes. If the
LMV5isinanexternalloadcontrollermode,SD_ModOffandSD_
ModOnareignored.
6. Ifitissafetodoso,turnontheburnerswitch.Ifthe rmalshockisaconcern,allowtheboilerto
warm.Theburnercanbeput inmanualand heldat lowfire ifnecessary throughthe Manual
Operationmenu.
7. Once the boiler is up to pressure / temperature, is modulating, and is carrying normal load,
adjustthePIDvaluesthroughthefollowingmenupath:
