9. Insert test finger (D = 5 mm) between the doors of the capsule
infeed, press the “on” button and start coffee brewing process
without capsule.

► Pull out capsule container 10 – 44 mm
► Empty capsule displayed?
► If there is a door gap of 5 mm during a brewing process, the
error message F8 must be displayed. Coffee cannot be
brewed.
► Pull out capsule container all the way
► Check container displayed?

► Place the capsule (Cosi is most suitable) with the membrane
face down in the capsule infeed and start the brewing
process.
► Is switched on during brewing mode
► Is switched on during standby
► Capsule is drawn in, brewing head moves to the brewing
position, appliance heats up to steam temperature, steam is
drawn (10 seconds), appliance cools down to coffee tem-
perature, coffee is drawn (40 ml), capsule is ejected.

► Check with your hand whether the cup heater is warming up.

► Heat up the appliance to steam temperature. Draw steam.
Remove water tank and wait until no more steam comes out
of the nozzle.
► Place the capsule (Cosi is most suitable) with the membrane
face down in the capsule infeed and start the brewing
process.
► Wait until Add water is displayed, after approx. 20 seconds
Ready is displayed. The appliance can now be switched off.
► Coffee is drawn (40 ml), capsule is ejected.
12. Hot water is drawn for approx. 10 seconds until water runs
out evenly
► Check that the thread of the nozzle body for the frother is not
leaking.
