4. Switching on the appliance
7.1 Incoming goods inspection
The incoming goods inspection allows machine faults to be localised
quickly and suitable repair measures to be initiated:
► Follow the sequence in the table.
► Repair any faults and repeat the repair routine to the end.
► Switch on the appliance with the mains switch.
1. Check machine for visual damage
► Is the blue illuminated ring around the Standby button lit (a)?
► Housing part broken, damaged or deformed?
► Does the window close automatically?
► Window damaged or scratched?
► Press Standby button (a).
► Power cord or mains plug damaged?
► Does the window open automatically?
► Has the customer opened the appliance?
► Is the capsule infeed lit?
► Is Service and then Rinse displayed?
2. Check the mechanical elements
► Can the window be opened and closed easily by hand?
► How long does the machine require to heat up?
(Standard time approx. 50 sec.)
► Does the steam pipe lock in place when rotated?
► Is a rinsing process taking place?
► Drip trays and capsule container present, inserted?
► Is standby indicated on the display by Ready?

5. Coffee preparation without capsule
► Water tank leaking?
► Press “on” button (e) or (f). Is the capsule infeed retracted and
extended again?
► Hose system leaking? Is water running out?
► Is the pump functioning?
► Is water flowing out of the coffee outlet?
