1.3 Internal inputs / outputs and
connection choices (LPB)
Internally, the OCI600 central communication unit has:
• 4 digital inputs
• 2 digital outputs
The following types of devices can be connected via LPB:
• Maximum 16 LPB controllers (refer to section “1.2
Device combinations“)
• Maximum 4 Batibus modules each with 4 digital inputs
• Maximum 4 Batibus modules each with 4 digital outputs
• Maximum 6 pulse adapters type AEW2.1
• Maximum 2 temperature measuring units type
QAB30.600 each with 2 inputs
1.4 Functions
The OCI600 central communication unit:
• Facilitates direct access to LPB controllers with the help
of an operator station (PC) connected either directly or
via modem and on which the ACS7.. software is in-
stalled
• Monitors all connected devices / modules and its own
inputs and outputs
• Signals faults to a PC either directly or via modem
• Signals faults via modem to SMS receivers, fax ma-
chines, pagers, serial printers and Minitel (France only)
