Aborting is a process with which the otherwise normal sequence of a target
approach is not carried out (see Chapter 2.2)
“Jogging” is aborted when:
The signal Drive enable is deleted.
A traverse range limit is crossed with a linear axis.
With the FM 351 jogging is possible at two speeds:
Jogging at rapid speed.
Jogging at creep speed.
You specify the speed on calling the operating mode either in the parameter-
ization interface or in the FC JOG_MOD.
The limits for the Jogging operating mode differ for a synchronized and a
non-synchronized axis.

If the traverse range limit is crossed during jogging:
The actual value display jumps to the opposite limit
and
The positioning is aborted.

1000 m
Jogging is positioning to target positions which are lo-
cated at a distance of the half target range from the soft-
ware limit switches.
The limits are determined from:
SLE

/
2
target range for the positive end of the
linear axis
SLS+

2
target range for the negative end of the
linear axis.
If you do not previously release the key, the FM 351
terminates at a target point which is located at the half
target range in front of the corresponding software limit
switch. All ranges, which are necessary for correct ter-
mination, are set by the FM 351 at this target point.
