5.8.6
Data point configuration
5.8.6.1
"General" parameter group
"General" parameter group
Value monitoring (Reporting Changes) (DNP3 CP only)
The option is available with the following data point types. The option must be enabled if
the data points are to be configured as an Output Event with mirroring back.
Object group in STEP 7: Binary Output Command (12)
Object group with option enabled:
Binary Output Event (11)
Object group in STEP 7: Analog Output Command (41)
Object group with option enabled:
Analog Output Event (42)
If the option is enabled, the value of the PLC tag of the data point configured as an output
is monitored for changes. If the value changes, for example as a result of operator input
on site, an event is generated and the changed value transferred to the master; in other
words mirroring back.
Refer to the information in the section Datapoint types (Page 35).
5.8.6.2
Threshold value trigger and Analog value preprocessing
Sequence of processing Threshold value trigger and Analog value preprocessing
Note
Threshold value trigger: Calculation only after "Analog value preprocessing"
Note that the analog value preprocessing is performed before the check for a configured
threshold value.
This a
ffects the value that is configured for the threshold value trigger, refer to the section
Threshold value trigger
(Page 54).
Restricted preprocessing options if mean value generation is configured
If you configure mean value generation for an analog value event, the following
preprocessing options are not available:
Unipolar transfer
Error suppression time
Smoothing
No Threshold value trigger if Mean value generation is configured
If mean value generation is configured, no threshold value trigger can be configured for the
analog value event involved.
Analog inputs that are configured as an event are processed on the CP in the following
sequence:
